You can make them do lots of activity and exercise in there if you want it to go a bit faster, but otherwise… just let time take its toll. The easiest, and most tried and true way, of killing a sim by starving them to death is by simply putting them in a room without doors or windows, and no food source. You need to stop a sim from eating for 48 in-game hours for them to die of starvation, unless they have the Ravenous moodlet, in which case it’ll only take 24 hours. Build a pool, get the Sim you want dead to have a swim in the pool, and then promptly remove any ladders and put a fence around it. The tried and tested method for sim extermination is drowning them in a pool, although it can take a while to make them actually die. Once you’ve got the fire, don’t let the sim run away from it, keep them in place, and don’t let any other sims extinguish the fire. Put rugs under and around the stove, so when it does catch fire, all the rugs will too. If the sim has a low cooking skill, get them to cook something complicated, or just try preparing multiple meals. First, make sure the stove is the cheapest you can find. If you can pull it off though, it can be quite a quick death. You’ll probably encounter random fires a lot while playing The Sims 4, but deliberately trying to get your sims to start one, and then burn to death doing so, is tougher than you might imagine.
